PaidPilot vs Zoho Invoice free

Zoho Invoice is an invoicing app with a free plan, and Zoho also publishes a separate free invoice generator. PaidPilot is only the browser tools on this site. The numbers below are copied from Zoho's pages, not guessed.
Zoho Invoice app, free plan
On the pricing page we opened, Zoho describes the app as "$0 for Seamless & Dependable Invoicing" and "forever-free." The FAQ asks "Is Zoho Invoice really free?" and answers "Absolutely!" The same FAQ says the free plan includes up to two users, a maximum of three projects, and up to 500 invoices per year, and that it includes "Powered by Zoho Invoice" branding. Starting the app goes through signup.
Zoho's free invoice generator
That is a different page from the app. It lets you download or print an invoice. "Save online" leads to signup. Its FAQ says you cannot customize the blank invoices on the free generator the way you can after you sign up for templates, and you cannot add discounts on the generator. It also says a logo can be up to 1 MB and 240 by 240 pixels.

A fair read
Zoho Invoice fits when you want customers, projects, and invoices saved in an online app and you can live inside the free-plan limits above. PaidPilot fits when you want a PDF now, no account, and no yearly cap. They are different products. A business that outgrows a one-page PDF may still want Zoho's app.
