In short: PaidPilot is a free invoice generator that runs in your browser. You don't create an account, and nothing you type on the free invoice is uploaded. Add your logo, your client and your line items, then save the invoice as a PDF. There's no watermark. A small "Made with PaidPilot" line is on by default, and you can untick it for free. PaidPilot Pro is $7 a month or $49 a year, cancel anytime, and it is optional.
What you get free
- An invoice with your logo, tax percent, currency, notes and due date
- As many invoices as you want, with no signup and no monthly cap. Free history in this browser shows the newest 5. Older invoices stay saved and come back with Pro.
- A clean PDF: Download opens your browser's print dialog, where you choose "Save as PDF". PaidPilot never receives the file.
- A paid or unpaid status on the invoice
- Template pages for freelancers, consultants, graphic designers, photographers, and hourly work. The generator's template menu includes freelancer, consultant, graphic designer, and photographer.
What Pro adds (optional)
Saved clients in this browser, recurring reminder templates, and a pay link on the invoice for your own PayPal.Me, Square, Stripe, or Lemon Squeezy link. Deposits, partial payments, and a late-fee line. Free history shows the newest 5 invoices in this browser. Pro shows every saved invoice, plus a CSV, a JSON backup, and a monthly summary. You can copy an estimate into the generator once for free. Pro can save the estimate in this browser and number the invoice from it. Pro is $7 a month or $49 a year, cancel anytime. Do I need an account?
No. Open the generator and start typing.
Is it really free?
Yes. The generator, logo upload, and PDF are free. There is no monthly cap. Pro is optional at $7 a month or $49 a year.
Is there a watermark?
No. There's an optional "Made with PaidPilot" footer line that you can untick, at no charge. It starts on.
Where is my data stored?
In your browser. Nothing you type on the free generator is sent to PaidPilot.
Can clients pay from the invoice?
A pay link on the invoice is a Pro feature. On the free generator you can list accepted payment methods, turn on an optional payment QR, or put payment details in the notes. PaidPilot does not process payments.
