Landscaping invoice template

Updated October 2026

Landscape bills cover two different rhythms. A spring visit is a pile of mulch, a cleanup, and maybe a broken head. A lawn route is the same mow, week after week. The invoice you can download is the spring visit. The lawn route is a smaller example beside it.

This page's download

One April-style visit at 15 Orchard Rd: mow, beds, 6 yards of mulch, debris, two heads, and an optional fuel line. Due in 7 days.

Lawn care, billed monthly

Example prices Not the PDF and not the generator preset. A different customer, the Bennett lawn at 8 Clover St.

Weekly mow, four visits in May4 × $45
Month total, due on June 1 in this side example$180

No mulch, no irrigation parts, no fuel line. If a mow is skipped, the count drops. That is the point of billing visits instead of a flat season you cannot explain.

Example prices

Fictional spring visit from Green Meridian. Mulch, mowing, and the fuel line are example numbers, not a seasonal contract.

Example prices for one spring visit. Not a seasonal contract price. Mulch is billed by the cubic yard, 6 yards at an example $48 installed, so the client can see the quantity and not just a lump sum. Mowing on this invoice is a single visit bundled with bed work. A weekly lawn route is a different example on the template page (four mows, billed monthly) and is not loaded into these lines. The fuel line is optional in real life. It is here so you can delete it or keep it. Tell the client about it before the crew shows up if you plan to use it. Gate codes do not belong on an invoice. Due in 7 days for this residential visit. A monthly lawn plan can be billed at the start of the month instead. Say which one you are using.

The generator loads the Orchard Road visit, including the six yards of mulch and the fuel line you can delete. It does not load the Bennett lawn, and it does not replace your saved business name.

Keep the gate code off the invoice

The crew sheet can have the code. The invoice will be emailed, forwarded, and sometimes printed on a fridge. This sample says the code stays on the crew sheet and leaves the digits off. Property address stays on. So does the quantity of mulch, because "beds done" is not a quantity.

Seven days for a homeowner visit

Helen Cho has a week to pay a finished visit. A monthly mow plan can be billed at the start of the month instead, which is what the Bennett side example does on June 1 for May's visits. Say which rhythm you are using so a client with both a cleanup and a weekly mow is not surprised by two different due dates. More wording lives on the payment terms page.

Yards, mulch, and the weekly mow

  1. How do I bill mulch by the yard?

Put the cubic yards on the quantity and the installed price on the rate. This spring visit is 6 yards at an example $48, so the client sees the pile size and not only a round number called beds.

  2. Can mowing and a cleanup share an invoice?

They can, and they do on the main sample: one mow, bed weeding, mulch, haul-away, and two irrigation heads. A weekly route that is only mowing is easier to read as its own monthly bill. That second shape is the lawn-care box on this page.

  3. What is the lawn-care section for?

Crews who mostly mow. The box shows four May visits at an example $45, billed once for the month, for a different fictional lawn. It is not the file you download and it does not load in the generator.

  4. Should fuel be its own line?

Only if the customer heard about it before the truck arrived. The $12 on this sample is optional. Delete it, or keep it and mention it in the estimate. A fuel line that appears for the first time on the invoice feels like a trick.

  5. Monthly billing or one invoice per visit?

Per visit matches a one-off spring cleanup, which is what the download is. A mow route can be a monthly statement in advance or in arrears. Pick one and write it on the invoice. Do not switch mid-season without telling them.
