PaidPilot vs QR Code Monkey
Checked Oct 2026
Both sites can make a QR code without charging you. QR Code Monkey is a dedicated design tool. PaidPilot's generator is one page in a set of free invoice and check tools, and the code is drawn in your browser.
| PaidPilot | QR Code Monkey | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free, including for a business. | Their page says "All generated QR Codes are 100% free and can be used for whatever you want. This includes all commercial purposes." |
| Expiry | No PaidPilot redirect, so the code does not expire here. | "They do not expire and will work forever." Static codes "can't edit the content of the QR Codes again." |
| Scan limits | We do not count scans. | "There is no limit" and "no scanning limits." Scan statistics are described as a feature of a separate professional generator. |
| Logo | Optional center logo. Error correction is forced to H, with a warning if a phone may not read it. | "We can put a logo image on the QR code that covers up to 30%." |
QR Code Monkey is a strong choice if you want their designer and a logo that they say can cover up to 30% of the code. PaidPilot is the practical choice if the code belongs on an invoice, an estimate, or a receipt you are already making here. Their page says the static code is free but scan statistics and later edits live in another product.

Questions
Do QR Code Monkey codes expire?
Their site says static codes do not expire and will work forever. You cannot edit that static code later.
Does PaidPilot track scans?
No. The code is the data itself. We do not run a scan counter.
